Helping You Enjoy—and Protect—Duke Farms

Duke Farms is a living landscape—2,700 acres of woodlands, meadows, wetlands, and trails—designed to reconnect people with nature and demonstrate sustainability in action. To help preserve this special place and ensure a safe, enjoyable visit for all, we ask that visitors keep the following in mind:

🌤️ Be Prepared for the Elements

Duke Farms is almost entirely outdoors. There is no general indoor visitor center, so please dress for the weather and wear comfortable, season-appropriate footwear. Sunscreen, hats, and layered clothing are strongly encouraged depending on the forecast.

💧 Stay Hydrated

We recommend bringing a reusable water bottle. Hydration stations are available at the Farm Barn Café, Farm Barn vestibule, and Orchid Range. Duke Farms is a zero single-use plastic site.

🗺️ Plan Ahead

Explore our trails through Google or Apple Maps, and check our Hours of Operation for seasonal closures before you arrive. Cell service can vary—be prepared to explore offline if needed.

🧼 Leave No Trace

Help protect this fragile ecosystem by taking everything you bring in back out with you. Trash, food waste, and litter threaten wildlife and habitats. Please use designated recycling and compost bins when available.

🐾 Respect the Land & Wildlife

Stay on marked trails to avoid disturbing sensitive habitat. Observe wildlife from a distance, and never feed animals. Pets are not allowed on site, with the exception of service animals.

🚲 Travel Light, Travel Green

We encourage low-impact transportation—bike, walk, or carpool if possible. Duke Farms offers bike racks, EV chargers, and trails suitable for walking and cycling.

Thank you for being a respectful guest—and for joining us in our mission to create a nature-positive, carbon-negative future.
