Hours of Operation & Admission
From Mid-March to early November, the Orientation Center and Duke Farms are open six days a week Thursday through Tuesday from 8:30am to 6pm. After November, our hours shorten to 8:30am to 4:30pm. Admission is always FREE!
Duke Farms is CLOSED to visitation on Wednesdays as well as Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day. This includes the Orientation Center and trails.
Duke Farms considers the property full when all the parking spaces are occupied. Once this happens, our parking areas will be temporarily closed. In nice weather, this is most likely to happen on weekends (especially on Sundays) or holidays, so be sure to plan accordingly by carpooling, using alternative transportation and/or by planning your trip for off peak hours such as early mornings or later in the afternoons.
If you arrive at Duke Farms and find the parking area temporarily closed, please visit Somerset County Tourism website or the NJ Skylands website for information on other nearby recreational opportunities.

Site Access & People with Disabilities Tram Service
From the Orientation Center, visitors can access more than 18 miles of walking trails, or 12 miles of bicycle trails. Please follow the red pedestrian path by the tram stop to cross the road into the park.
For people with disabilities or physical challenges, an assistance tram is available to provide transportation to a few stops within the park. Tram weekend service will begin on April 1 and weekday tram service will begin in Spring (date TBA). The tram runs every hour from the Orientation Center starting at 10:00am. The last tram leaving the Orientation Center is at 3:30pm. Tram pickups inside the core area of the property will run until 5:30pm.
Taxi service is available to take visitors to and from the train station and Duke Farms.
