Duke Farms Solar Arrays & EV Chargers

100% Clean Electricity At Work

Duke Farms exemplifies our deep commitment to sustainability by integrating advanced clean and resilient energy systems into daily operations—and inviting the public to participate in the transition.

At the core of our energy infrastructure is a state-of-the-art solar array and integrated battery storage system, which together now provide 100% of the electricity used across our campus on a net annual basis. Excess solar power generated during the day is stored in our battery system and used at night, ensuring a steady, reliable flow of clean electricity around the clock. This energy powers dozens of buildings, farm operations, and landscape management equipment—all of which are steadily transitioning to full electrification.

As part of our commitment to sharing clean energy benefits, Duke Farms has also installed four public Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations, powered entirely by our on-site solar system. These stations are available for public use 24/7, allowing our community to charge their vehicles with truly local, renewable energy—day or night.

By electrifying both buildings and transportation, Duke Farms is significantly reducing operational emissions and demonstrating how clean energy and sustainable mobility can be seamlessly integrated across a diverse, multi-use property. The result is a real-world model for other campuses, institutions, and communities seeking practical, replicable pathways to a cleaner, more resilient future.

Visiting Duke Farms offers the opportunity to utilize our sustainably powered electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. To ensure a seamless experience and support sustainability efforts, please observe the following guidelines:
