The Farm Barn Café offers delicious meals that serve as an extension of Duke Farms' educational and sustainability initiatives by providing guests with a tangible taste of local, environmentally conscious cuisine.​ Nourish yourself with meals and snacks served up by Chef Lauren where every ingredient is hand selected and locally grown in Jersey.  Even the rice.  

Visitors to the Farm Barn Cafe experience dining that aligns with Duke Farms' commitment to sustainability, environmental stewardship, and local food systems. The café emphasizes locally sourced, seasonal ingredients, many of which are grown or raised directly on the property, providing guests with fresh and flavorful options.

The café's menu reflects the phenology of Duke Farms and changes with the seasons, ensuring that dishes are crafted with the freshest ingredients available. This approach not only supports local agriculture but also offers guests a unique dining experience throughout the year. ​

The Farm Barn Cafe is open from Thursday through Saturday from 9AM to 2PM.

Chef Lauren Owens has over 20 years of experience in professional kitchens. Born and raised in the Garden State, her love of local food began in her parents’ own garden and has flourished throughout her career. Using local, in-season ingredients, Lauren plans her menus to showcase the natural flavor and integrity of each ingredient. When she isn’t working at the Farm Barn Café, Chef Lauren is busy running her own personal chef business which is built to bring happiness, awareness and knowledge through her food, classes and seminars.

Our seasonal café menu reflects Chef Lauren’s vision, offering a variety of dishes that are sure to appeal to everyone’s palate. Our café is committed to locally sourced, seasonal food with many of the ingredients grown or raised right here at Duke Farms!
